Hi John - thanks for you questions.
Once a NALalysis is complete and imported, it ends up in a Microsoft Access database specific to that import - this is stored in the Databases directory and is named similar to 'NALalyse_YYMMDDHHMMSS.mdb' (ie. one created at 11:13am on the 6th of November this year would be called NALalyse_051106111300.mdb')
The in-build NALalyse reports are designed to show a selection of the most important application information collected during a NALalysis, which should go a reasonable way to documenting each application. However, it is possible to create your own reports outside of NALalyse if you have a little database knowledge.
The generated Access databases are not 'protected' in any sense and can be queried by any software capable of opening them up - be that Access itself, Crystal Reports or another reporting tool.
If you've got some basis knowledge about databases, the internal design (schema) of the database is pretty straight-forward to work out as the design was kept purposely simplistic - the main thing to be aware of is the link between the main 'NALalyse_Apps' table and all the others (by the common 'AppUniqueRef' field)
By reporting on the data outside of NALalyse, you can effectively create any type of report you wish (assuming NALalyse stored the data in the database in the first place!)
If you need any further information or advice about the database, please let me know and I'll help were possible.
cheers,
Johnny
